Desperation leads Flood victims to attack relief goods truck in a camp in Karachi

"THE FLOOD MIGRANTS FROM SINDH PROVINCE HAVE BEEN HOSTED IN KARACHI AT THIS PLOT SITE CALLED RAZAKAABAD - OPPOSITE MONOTECHNIC COLLEGE.

THE MOMENT WE ENTERED THIS PLACE, VIOLENT HUNGRY AFFECTEES JUMPED ON MY TRUCK AND SNATCHED AWAY ALL THOSE 300 RASHAN BAGS INCLUDING FLOUR RICE TEA SUGAR OIL AND LENTILS.

"MY TEAM MEMBERS WERE IN THIS TRUCK. SOME BEHIND IT IN ANOTHER CAR. AND SOME WITH ME IN MY CAR. I TOLD MY DRIVERS TO GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND LET THEM TAKE IT ALL.

EDHI WAS ACTIVELY RESCUING THE INJURED.

I APPEAL TO YOU, TO DONATE RASHAN AND WATER/MILK SUPPLIES AT THESE CAMPS. THEY ARE BECOMING ANIMALS. PLEASE DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO OUR PEOPLE.

Support individuals like Kanwal Hashmat Malik who are doing relief work from the good of their heart. Relief goods are being regularly collected and despatched to different parts of the country through her team. KHM is herself accompanying her team to these camp sites and distributing relief goods.

Great effort by some Pakistani students in Sydney who recently shipped a container filled with relief goods to Pakistan.

Thanks to the help of my friends, I was able to contribute $200 for the purchase of relief goods which included blankets, food items, bottled water. and other such items.Watch this space for updates on more relief efforts by this group.
