Flood Relief Update

Thanks to the recent contribution of Sue and Sarwat from Dubai. We need more people to contribute generously. Flood waters have started receding and reconstruction work has started. Please contact sha68pk@yahoo.com for donations in Australia. All donations are sent directly to relief workers in different parts of the country affected by floods.

So far this cause has contributed to supporting 20 families in a small village near Nowshehra, Punjab, provided rations to refugee families in Karachi flood camps, contributed to relief goods sent from Australia and arranged water purifiers in Pakistan.

Aqua tabs are the preferred brands used for purifying water in Pakistan's flood areas. These are only supplied to international aid agencies for bulk orders. These can be arranged in Pakistan for reliable relief workers and NGOs. Small amounts are also available for donation purpose to volunteer groups who can ensure their proper use. "THE FLOOD MIGRANTS FROM SINDH PROVINCE HAVE BEEN HOSTED IN KARACHI AT THIS PLOT SITE CALLED RAZAKAABAD - OPPOSITE MONOTECHNIC COLLEGE.

THE MOMENT WE ENTERED THIS PLACE, VIOLENT HUNGRY AFFECTEES JUMPED ON MY TRUCK AND SNATCHED AWAY ALL THOSE 300 RASHAN BAGS INCLUDING FLOUR RICE TEA SUGAR OIL AND LENTILS.

"MY TEAM MEMBERS WERE IN THIS TRUCK. SOME BEHIND IT IN ANOTHER CAR. AND SOME WITH ME IN MY CAR. I TOLD MY DRIVERS TO GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND LET THEM TAKE IT ALL.

EDHI WAS ACTIVELY RESCUING THE INJURED.

I APPEAL TO YOU, TO DONATE RASHAN AND WATER/MILK SUPPLIES AT THESE CAMPS. THEY ARE BECOMING ANIMALS. PLEASE DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO OUR PEOPLE.

Great effort by some Pakistani students in Sydney who recently shipped a container filled with relief goods to Pakistan.

Thanks to the help of my friends, I was able to contribute $200 for the purchase of relief goods which included blankets, food items, bottled water. and other such items.Watch this space for updates on more relief efforts by this group.
